“She gets on my nerves.” Sometimes good friends fall out.
Euodias and Syntyche were two wealthy ladies who served and supported the Apostle Paul as deacons in the early Church.
Something went wrong between these women, we don't know what it was or how or if the issue that divided them was ever resolved.
What we do know is that Paul had to speak directly to both of them, advise/encourage them “be of the same mind in the Lord.”
Paul refers to them as “His Joy” and “His Crown” Paul pleads with them to resolve the issue for the sake of the Gospel they assisted him in spreading.
Of course we disagree at times, some people get on your nerves and some people really, really get on your nerves. Issues that divide sometimes do arise between the saints; however, there is no greater issue in the world than the sharing of the Gospel for the sake of lost souls.
I like to believe these friends who fell out resolved their difference, the biblical way, FORGIVENESS.
1. Do you need to forgive anyone?
2. How do you cope with people who get on your nerves ?
